Construction of gas thermal power

Master plan of the City of Zajecar anticipates the construction of solid fuels thermal power plant in the area between Zajecar and Grljan village. The heat capacity of the thermal power plant is planned for necessities of city heating; residence objects, public facilities and industry requirements. The thermal power plant, beside the  heat generation for the City’s requirements, will generate the electric power and which will be connected at the certain point of the electricity-distribution network to the electrical-energetic system of Serbia. The construction of the thermal power plant is planned to enable an easy switch to exploitation of natural gas. The anticipated capacity of the thermal power plant is 150 MW. Beside the thermal power plant, infrastructure connection, the construction of a smaller accumulating damp on the river Beli Timok, for the purposes of water-intake which will supply the plant with  technological water. The plant is planned to operate with recirculating water, hence, the water-intake of  fresh water is reduced to a minimum.
